More Ways to Help
Every act of kindness makes a difference. If you'd like to support Little Souls in other ways, here are some options:
You could:
Set up a collection at your workplace, school, or local group
Host a collection box at your shop, salon, or business counter
(Please note: We have a limited number of collection boxes due to cost. If you're able to host one, we kindly ask that it’s looked after carefully and returned to us if no longer in use. Sadly, we’ve already lost one, which makes it harder for us to raise the funds we need.)
Become a monthly sponsor — regular giving helps us plan ahead and continue rescuing animals in need
Leave a gift in your will — your legacy can give vulnerable animals a second chance at life
Why Your Support Matters
We’re a small rescue run with love, time, and pure dedication — not funding.
We receive no government support and rely entirely on the generosity of our amazing community.

Volunteering with Little Souls – Cat Rescue
Little Souls Cat Rescue is run entirely by our small but passionate team.
We're always looking for kind-hearted, reliable people to join our team in one of two key roles: Foster Carer or Support Worker. If you’d love to help make a difference, please read below and get in touch!
Foster Carer
We’re currently looking for foster carers who can care for:
Adult cats
Kittens
You’ll ideally need a separate room or safe space where foster cats can be kept apart from your own pets in the beginning. Later introductions are optional and not required.
We can provide food, litter, and flea/worm treatments if needed. Some foster carers choose to donate these supplies, but there is no pressure—we’re incredibly grateful for your time and care above all.
Most foster cats require at least two vet visits, and we ask that carers can help with transport. In emergency situations, we can sometimes assist with this, though transport remains a challenge for us.
Important Foster Carer Guidelines
If you are accepted as a Foster Carer, please be aware of the following important policies:
Home Visits: We carry out regular checks to ensure the welfare of the cats and kittens in your care.
Vet Care: All cats must be seen by one of the trusted veterinary practices we work closely with.
Microchips: All cats will remain microchipped under Little Souls Rescue until they are officially adopted.
Adoptions: All adoptions must go through Little Souls Rescue. Foster carers are not permitted to rehome cats independently.
Exclusive Foster Role: Foster carers must only foster for Little Souls while volunteering with us.
No Unauthorised Intake: Foster carers must not accept any cats or kittens into rescue without prior approval from the Little Souls team.
No Social Media Posting: Foster carers are not permitted to post photos or information about the cats or kittens in their care on their personal social media platforms.
Why This Is Important: All adoption processes are managed directly by Little Souls to ensure consistency with our adoption policy, home checks, and requirements. Photos and descriptions of cats and kittens are only posted by our team on our official website only where they are protected by copyright.
This is to:
Ensure every animal is matched safely and appropriately with their forever home
Protect the privacy and identity of the rescue cats
Prevent confusion or duplicate rehoming efforts
Please Note:
Anyone who changes a cat’s microchip details or shares unauthorised posts without our consent will be permanently removed from the foster team and may be reported. This helps ensure the safety, traceability, and privacy of every animal in our care.
Support Worker
Support Workers help keep the rescue running smoothly behind the scenes. These roles are ideal for those who want to help but cannot commit to fostering. We’re looking for people to assist with:
Transport
We need volunteers who can:
Take cats to and from vet appointments
Transport new rescues into our care
Deliver cats to their forever homes
If you have a car and a few hours to spare now and then, you could make a huge difference.
Fundraising
Little Souls is funded entirely by donations and personal contributions – we receive no government grants. Volunteers can help by:
Running tombola or fundraising stalls
Helping at community events
Donating items or prizes
Bringing in fresh fundraising ideas
If you own a business and want to support us, we’re happy to promote your services in return as a thank-you.
Got Other Skills?
We’re always open to fresh ideas and unique skills – even if it's something we haven’t considered yet. Whether you're great with admin, creative projects, social media, or something else, we’d love to hear from you!
Important Information
Volunteers must be 18 years or older.
If your application is unsuccessful, we will hold your form for 3 months, then securely destroy it.
If your application is successful, your details will be securely stored for the duration of your volunteering role. Once your time with us ends, your file will be safely destroyed.
All information is handled in accordance with GDPR and will never be shared outside of Little Souls.
